Thanks, Bob.

I'm struggling right now, mate. I'm going to end up writing about it when I have time (which might well be today). As a teaser, the church I'm a member of has some very common "Baptist" issues that are killing the ability of the church to grow and for the younger generations to grow into disciples instead of simply "believers." The most common argument I hear is that people are just comfortable with the way things are, and if they're comfortable, they're not gonna want to change. Suffice to say that argument doesn't fly with me.

Saw this and thought of you...

"Jesus noted the danger of being ashamed to profess the faith: "Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels" (Lk 9:26; cf. Mk 8:38). Being ashamed of Christ is often expressed in those forms of "human respect" by which one hides one's own faith and agrees to compromises which are unacceptable for someone who wants to be Christ's true disciple. How many people, even Christians, make compromises today!"

Oh, and it made me think of you because of your lack of shame at spreading the Gospel.

Just a little morning affirmation...
